At the top of the street that our cottages are located on, a minutes’ walk there is a Convenience Store, Post Office, Pharmacy, Hardware Store, Laundrette, Hairdressers and a Gallery.
The village shop is open from 7.30am to 9pm, Monday to Saturday, and 8am to 9pm on Sunday. A cash machine is located in the shop. London House Stores is part of the ‘Plastic Free Aberporth’ scheme, so you can purchase fresh milk in glass bottles, and fresh bread.
The Post Office/ Pharmacy is open from 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 1pm on a Saturday (As from May 1st 2018, the Post Office counter will only be open in the mornings from 9am – 12.30pm).
The rest of the shops / services are open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, apart from the Hardware Store, which closes half day on a Wednesday.
On a Tuesday morning the Country Market runs from Aberporth Village Hall, a few minutes’ walk from the cottages. This is open from 8.30am – 12.30pm. Tea / Coffee and breakfast sandwiches are available, lots of yummy homemade produce for sale, from cakes to chutneys, to hand crafted cards, jewellery, and bespoke handcrafted gifts. A warm welcome awaits you.
If you need any surf gear or beach clothing, pop into Cardigan Town and check out Tonnau Surf Shop. They have a fantastic range of surfboards, softboards, wetsuits, swimming suits, sunglasses, flipflops and loads of surf brand clothing.
Cardigan is the nearest town, just 6 miles away, and here you will find a great selection of supermarkets, nationwide and local shops, plus a fantastic range of independent cafes and restaurants.
